The Prince George's African American Museum and Cultural Center presents

VINTAGE VISIONS: African American Cinema Posters
Opening Reception
Friday, October 8, 2010
...6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Please join us for the opening of VINTAGE VISIONS, a visual testament of the long history of African American film and film images. Beginning with early race films in 1915, continuing to post studio films of the 1950s, to the Blaxploitation films of the 1970s, these posters exemplify the struggles that Black Americans have had with a rapidly expanding image, un-reconciled with reality. We invite you to learn, discuss, reminisce, laugh, and most of all, enjoy!

Exhibition runs from October 8, 2010 - January 8, 2011
