Gateway Arts District
The Gateway Arts District is a $70 million initiative along Route One (Rhode Island Avenue) that includes:
- 150 affordable live/work units for lower-income artists
- The Mount Rainier Artists’ Lofts/ArtSpace project
- The Housing Initiatives Partnership/HIP Artist Housing (Mount Rainier and Hyattsville’s Renaissance Square Artist Housing)
- More than 30,000 square feet of commercial space
- The Gateway Arts Center - A community visual arts center with galleries & studio space
